Suzhou Draka Cable Co., Ltd. (SDC) is a Wholly-Owned-Foreign-Enterprise (WOFE) of Draka Holding N.V. of the Netherlands.
　　　Draka Holding N.V. is the holding company of a number of operating companies which are engaged in the development, production and sale of cable and cable systems. Draka focuses on two product groups: telecommunication cable and low-voltage and special-purpose cable. It is one of the leading cable manufacturers in the world, with 68 operating companies in 30 countries in Europe, North and South America Asia, and Australia.
　　　In 1958 the Ministry of Industry established Suzhou Cable Works (SCW) to specialise in electrical wires & cables manufacturing. SDC was officially established in April 1994 as a joint-venture company between SCW and Draka Far East. In July 1997, it became a WOFE.
