Suzhou Draka Cable Co., Ltd. (SDC) is a Wholly-Owned- Foreign-Enterprise (WOFE) of Draka Holding N.V. of the Netherlands.
Draka Holding N.V. is the holding company of a number of operating companies which are engaged in the development, production and sale of cable and cable systems. Draka focuses on two product groups: telecommunication cable and low-voltage and special-purpose cable. It is one of the leading cable manufacturers in the world, with 68 operating companies in 30 countries in Europe, North and South America Asia, and Australia. In 1958 the Ministry of Industry established Suzhou Cable Works (SCW) to specialise in electrical wires & cables manufacturing. SDC was officially established in April 1994 as a joint-venture company between SCW and Draka Far East. In July 1997, it became a WOFE. SDC has been an ISO9002 certified company since 1994. To better serve her clients, SDC is well equipped with the most advanced machines and a wide range of sophisticated test equipment. Products manufactured by SDC conform to the stringent requirements of various national & international standards such as GB, AS, BS & IEC. SDC marine cables are also certified by ABS, LRS, CCS, BV, RINA, GL, DNV and NK, together with QS9000 VDA 6.1 and TS16949 certificate. In addition, SDC is able to design and develop cables to exact specifications of her clients.
